Oyun Kuramı ve Uluslararası Politika
Abstract
Game theory is a mathematical tool for analyzing interactive decision-making. Because international politics mostly involves interactive foreign-policy decisions, game theory is a particularly useful tool for constructing simple and formal models to explain and analyze international relations. This article defines game theory and provides a succinct illustration of game-theoretic levels of analysis with the help of a few examples. It refers to several sources on the application of the theory in international politics in order to answer some misunderstandings. The examples may help interested analysts to appreciate that even simple game-theoretic applications could refine, revise, or reject existing explanations of international relations.
